Combating advanced HIV: webinar presenting our toolkit
Despite expanding access to treatment over more than 20 years, the reduction in HIV-related mortality has plateaued, with an estimated 630,000 deaths in 2022. More than half of these deaths are attributed to the consequences of advanced HIV.
In order to achieve the WHO goal of eliminating advanced HIV by 2030, it is imperative that countries rapidly implement activities to detect and manage advanced HIV.
The Initiative has compiled a toolkit to equip experts and programs in French-speaking Africa wishing to engage in the fight against advanced HIV to strengthen their response. Watch the replay of the presentation webinar. Experts discuss the different aspects of the fight against advanced HIV that are addressed by the documents in the toolkit.
