Information on the 2026 Calls for Proposals

In the current context, where budget commitment authorizations for 2026 are not yet known, L’Initiative has decided not to publish new calls for proposals in early December, as it has done in previous years.

This decision takes into account both the recent budgetary developments affecting L’Initiative and the respect we owe to the commitment and trust of the many organizations that responded to our 2025 calls for proposals. Indeed, out of the five 2025 calls for proposals, only five of the six projects selected under the two “Next Phase Projects” calls — Health Systems Strengthening (RSSH) and Key and Vulnerable Populations (KVP) — have been able to receive firm commitments to date.

As soon as Expertise France has greater visibility on the financial commitment capacities for L’Initiative, and in coordination with the steering committee, a revision of the current strategy may be undertaken. This will allow the opening of new support opportunities, the modalities of which will be communicated as soon as possible.
