Cross-cutting evaluation overview – Our interventions in Ukraine (2022-2025)

Assessments 27 November 2025

Since 2022, Ukraine experienced an unprecedented humanitarian and health crisis following the full-scale invasion by the Russian Federation. Over 6.3 million people fled the country, with millions more displaced internally

To help compensate for the destruction of health infrastructure, L’Initiative mobilized €9 million between 2022 and 2025 to support its partners from civil society and public institutions in the fight against pandemics. Working in particular with AFEW Ukraine, Alliance for Public Health, 100% Life, TB People Ukraine and l’UPHC, L’Initiative adopted a flexible approach that allowed for continuous adaptation of activities, also supported by national authorities and multilateral actors. This document is a summary of the results and lessons learned from these projects.
