Eliminating pandemics, improving access to health for all

L’Initiative is a French funding facility, complementary to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. It accelerates responses to major pandemics and supports countries in improving population access to quality health services. Working alongside local and national stakeholders, it supports catalytic programs aimed at transforming health practices and policies.

The year 2023 marked unprecedented growth for L’Initiative. Following a significant increase in its resources, L’Initiative successfully implemented a record number of commitments. This has substantially increased its contribution to the fight against HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria, particularly in support of the most vulnerable countries.
