2023 Results – One year of record commitments
2023 was a new record year for L’Initiative, with financial commitments reaching an unprecedented level. €96.3 million were devoted to the fight against pandemics. L’Initiative continued to help meet the needs of the most fragile countries in the fight against pandemics, in synergy with the Global Fund, for greater effectiveness.
An unprecedented level of commitments
It was a new record year for L’Initiative, with financial commitments reaching over 90 million euros, to which were added nearly 6 million euros of renewed contributions for gaps that were found. This made the Expertise Channel’s upscaling possible, with 16.9 million euros dedicated to technical assistance, as well as an increase in contributions dedicated to project funding, through whether calls for projects or L’Accélérateur. This remarkable growth allows L’Initiative to make its strategy operational while innovating to meet the neglected challenges, especially in human resources and health.
