Summary of the Regional Meeting of L’Initiative’s Partners in Southeast Asia

Over the past decade, L’Initiative has invested over 50 million euros in the Greater Mekong sub-region, funding 37 projects targeting the 3 pandemics and health system strengthening.

On June 2024, a Southeast Asia Regional Meeting was held in Bangkok (Thailand) to discuss progress and challenges in the fight against HIV, tuberculosis and malaria. This unique meeting (click here to find the agenda and the presentations) gathered over 120 participants, including L’Initiative partners, project leaders, regional experts, and representatives from organizations such as the Global Fund, WHO, UNAIDS, IOM, and various French institutions. It served as a platform for dialogue, learning, and experience sharing on regional health issues, aiming to fortify local health systems and integrate the One Health approach. The executive summary gathers the main outcomes of this scientific conference.
